(there is an Aggregate Device set up for the Yeti and Soundflower but it's not being "used"). Soundflower (2ch) is input that is being "used". The headphones are plugged into the Yeti (not the computer output). The Yeti is plugged into a USB port (obviously). Let me know if this looks weird or if there's an easier way: Do you know where I can see the length of the program I'm making in Radiologik? Does it keep a timer going from when I start the first track?Īnyway, here's the set up I have now. If I use the mute button on the mic the click is really loud and recorded.Ģ. I want to mute my mic in Garageband but can't see how. The only thing that confuses me is that the only place I see the Aggregate Device mentioned is in Garageband, but I don’t seem to be sending anything to the Aggregate Device in the midi settings. I haven't spoken to my guy yet but I seemed to have figured it out. I must say, it's seems awfully hard to do what seems (to a novice like me) to be a simple thing. I should get it fixed by the morning and will explain how. Now I can't get GarageBand to "hear" Radiologik. I think he created an Aggregate Device for the Yeti and Soundflower then routed them into spirit channels in GarageBand. He got it working but since he left I can't replicate it! I'm going to talk to him later to learn exactly how he did it. I think he still had to utilise Soundflower with the mixer though.Įventually he went for the previously suggested GarageBand route. He attached mixer of his own and there was still latency. After doing a few tests he thought the issue was with Soundflower. We tried reducing the buffer to 64 in Soundflower but didn't work. However, another problem quickly appeared, latency. I hadn't clicked LINE IN on Radiologik! So that was that. He did look and found the solution was easy. It seems like it should be so easy but I'm totally stuck. If anyone has any suggestions I'd be really grateful. I have the input setting set to “Aggregate Device” and I've tried Garage Band and Sound Studio. Both of these only picks up the sound from RLDJ, not the Yeti mic. The problem is when I try to record these two inputs (combined to the Aggregate Device). To check the Aggregate Device is working, I am looking at the Input tab in Sound (Preferences) – there I can see the Input Level bars go up and down when I speak into the Yeti and when I play music from RLDJ. I don't think these are relevant to my problem though).Īlso in RLDJ I have “Line In” at the Yeti and I have “Line Out” as the Soundflower (2ch). (In RLDJ - I also have Output 2 (Monitor) and Output 3 (Heaphones) are currently set to Built-In Output as I figured I would monitor through the headphone output on the Mac. In RLDJ - I have Output 1 (On Air) to Soundflower (2ch). In “Audio Midi Setup” I created an Aggregate Device and ticked Soundflower (2ch) and the Yeti as my two input devices. Other than my MacAir the only hardware I have is a Yeti Blue mic. I am making short radio style programs with music and talk, I want to output this to any recording software (say Garage Band) on my laptop for later distribution. I hope you can help me with this, I've been trying to figure it out for hours.
